The Timaru Open Water Swim Group runs the Prime Port Timaru Ocean Swim. Competitors swam from Evans Bay, around the harbour entrance, and into Caroline Bay over either 1.5km or 2.5km. (Click on an image to enlarge it).

Prime Port Timaru Ocean Swim 2017 – Part 1

Over 60 competitors took part in the 2017 Prime Port Timaru Ocean Swim over 1.5km and 2.5km, double the number of entries from last year. Competitors swam from Evans Bay to Caroline Bay, Timaru. (Click on an image to enlarge it).

Caroline Bay Carnival Day 15

After a week’s break the Caroline Bay Carnival, Timaru, was back up and running today, and a great source of enjoyment for those who were brave enough to have a go on the rides. (Click on an image to enlarge it)

Farmers Market busy

The Farmers Market operates every Saturday morning, from the Community House car park in the Timaru CDB. Vendors sell fresh local produce and some craft work.

The Hitmen entertain

The Hitmen; Russell Harrison, Chris Powley & Simon Green, performed on the Caroline Bay Soundshell, Timaru, this afternoon. They will entertain again at 7pm tonight, and tomorrow (Sunday) at 2 pm , with City Limit and Guests.
