The Celtic Rugby Football Club’s “Club Day” was complete with their Senior A team victorious over Pleasant Point, at the Celtic Sports Ground, Timaru. Celtic turned at halftime 19-8 ahead, and pressured the Pleasant Point line throughout the second half, and despite a last-minute Point try Celtic finished 33-15 ahead at the full-time whistle.
The Celtic Rugby Football Club Senior B team hosted Pleasant Point in today’s “Club Day” fixture at the Celtic Sports Grounds, Timaru. The teams were evenly matched and Celtic was up 10-5 at halftime. A try a piece in the second half saw the final scoreline 15-10 in favour of Celtic.
Roncalli College hosted the St Andrews College 1st XV today as part of the Crusaders-wide UC Championship, in Timaru today. At 17-14 down at half-time Roncalli were competitive, but the visitors took advantage of a yellow card incident, and ran in several tries against a depleted home team. St Andrews finished the game strongly, winning 52 – 19.
