A big crowd filled the Ashburton Showgrounds grandstand for South Canterbury’s away game against Mid Canterbury. The Green & Blacks had the benefit of the sun and a brisk Nor’wester in the first half, but it took some time against a stout Mid Canterbury defense to get points on the board.
