Harlequins used the wind and their big running forwards to good effect in the second half of the senior rugby match against Pleasant Point at Alpine Energy Stadium,Timaru, today. They battered away at the Point defence and ran in three well-worked tries and with just three and a half minutes to play only needed a converted try to win. Harlies hammered the Point line, but the Mud Dogs held fast to take a narrow win 24-18.

Harlies v Point Seniors – First Half
With the Nor-wester on their backs Pleasant Point ran out to a 21 – 3 lead at halftime in their senior rugby match-up against Harlequins. Alpine Energy Stadium, Timaru, was hard and fast allowing both teams to spread the ball wide.

It as all tied up 10-all at half time at Alpine Energy Stadium, Timaru, in the Senior B rugby clash between Harlequins and Pleasant Point , but Point had the benefit of the Nor-wester in the second half and ran in several tries to win 37-10.
